Project management
I have some expertise in the implementation of research programming
environments and research computing environments, as well as in the
semi-automated documentation thereof. For details, drop me an email.

Computer management
I have a slew of different computers I have (partially) managed over the
last couple of years. Most Windows computers are just set up for desktop
use, but I helped their users leverage the ad-hoc network setup (no fancy
tools here). The other boxes vary from my single-user Linux laptop to a
64-way SGI 3700bx2 (although I still preferred the 8-way Compaq Wildfire). A list
can be found here, for the curious.
Computer tinkering
I just cannot keep from tinkering with some of my boxes, in particular with
efforts to minimize noise levels.
